Kairuva Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 7, 2026

Kairuva is a productivity and time-management Chrome extension that helps users organize tasks, create weekly schedules, and stay focused through website restrictions. This policy explains what information Kairuva processes and how it is used.

1. Information Kairuva Processes

Planning information: Information users enter to create schedules, such as task names and descriptions, deadlines, estimated durations, priorities, availability, scheduling preferences, and planning instructions.

Google Calendar information: If a user chooses to connect Google Calendar, Kairuva requests read-only access to retrieve calendar events. This may include event titles, dates, start times, and end times. Calendar connection is optional.

Focus settings: Kairuva processes user-selected website restrictions and focus-session settings to provide its blocking feature. Kairuva does not intentionally collect browsing history or read website contents.

2. How Information Is Used

Kairuva uses this information to generate weekly schedules, account for deadlines and existing commitments, preserve tasks and preferences, manage focus sessions, enforce temporary website restrictions, and provide focus-session notifications. Kairuva does not sell personal information or use it for advertising.

3. AI Planning and Third-Party Services

When a user requests an AI-generated schedule, Kairuva sends the relevant planning information to its backend service hosted on Cloudflare Workers. The backend sends the planning request to Google's Gemini API to generate a proposed schedule. Information in these requests may include task details, deadlines, priorities, availability, calendar commitments, time-zone information, and planning instructions.

Cloudflare and Google process information as needed to provide these services. Their handling of information is also subject to their respective policies:

Kairuva does not intentionally use these services to advertise to users or sell their planning information.

4. Local Storage

Kairuva stores planning information, preferences, and focus-session settings using Chrome extension storage so information can persist between browser sessions. Kairuva does not require users to create a Kairuva account. Information sent to third-party services for AI planning is subject to the processing described above and those providers' applicable policies.

5. Google Calendar Access

Connecting Google Calendar is optional. If a user authorizes access, Kairuva uses Google's authentication system to obtain permission to read calendar events and account for existing commitments when building schedules. Kairuva does not request permission to create, modify, or delete calendar events. Users can revoke access through their Google Account permissions settings.

6. Website Blocking and Browser Permissions

Kairuva uses Chrome's declarative network request functionality to temporarily restrict website navigation during user-initiated focus sessions. It uses the restrictions selected by the user to determine which destinations are allowed or blocked. Broad website permissions are needed to provide this feature. Kairuva does not intentionally collect or transmit users' browsing histories or website contents.

7. Data Sharing

Kairuva does not sell users' personal information. Information is shared with Cloudflare and Google only as necessary to operate the AI planning and Google Calendar features described in this policy. Kairuva does not use personal information for purposes unrelated to its productivity and scheduling functionality.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Information stored locally remains in Chrome extension storage until the user removes it or clears the extension's stored data. Users can remove locally stored information by clearing Kairuva's extension data or uninstalling the extension. Google Calendar access can be revoked through Google Account permissions. Information transmitted to Cloudflare or Google for processing may be subject to those providers' applicable retention and data-processing practices.

9. Children's Privacy

Kairuva is not designed specifically for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated when Kairuva's features, data practices, or legal requirements change. The latest version will be published at this URL, with the updated date shown at the top of the page.
